Travel Information & Cancellation Policy

If you are coming to New Zealand from overseas I would recommend flying into Queenstown, picking up a rental car and traveling to Twizel from there. The approximate travel time from Queenstown to Twizel is 2 hours 45 minutes. A second option is to fly into Christchurch and travel to Twizel from there. The approximate travel time from Christchurch to Twizel is 3 hours 30 minutes.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of a 30% non-refundable deposit of the total booking fee. The deposit must be paid within 7 days of making your booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your booked fishing date.

All payments are non-refundable in the event of cancellation. However, your 30% deposit may be transferred to an alternative date within the current fishing season, strictly subject to availability. Requests to transfer a booking must be made at least 30 days prior to the original fishing date, either by email or phone.

Each fishing date is reserved exclusively for your group. Once your booking is confirmed, that date is held specifically for you and other booking opportunities may be declined. For this reason, changes resulting from third-party scheduling conflicts, changes to travel arrangements, or other personal circumstances cannot always be accommodated, particularly during the peak fishing season.

Where possible, every reasonable effort will be made to assist with a change of date, but alternative dates cannot be guaranteed and remain subject to availability.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, medical coverage, and weather-related disruptions. As a small, pre-booked guiding operation, we are unable to offer refunds outside of the terms of our cancellation policy. Travel insurance helps protect your booking investment should unexpected circumstances arise.
